Mount Washington Valley Inspiration

I have been given the wonderful opportunity to write in this blog, one which journals the lifestyle and people of the Mount Washington Valley. A subject I am passionate about as there is so much I want to share about the Mount Washington Valley. I began the weekend by writing a blog on golfing in the valley. I took pictures at the many picturesque courses and met with golfers at the North Conway Country Club who were just wonderful. They spoke of the comradery and it was surely apparent. They told me of the history of golf in the valley and told me that golfing in The White Mountains was always a new adventure every time they golfed no matter how many times they did. They were happy and having a great time! What a friendly and inviting bunch! I could have stayed with them all day and the views of the Presidentials and the smell of the breakfast being served at the Country Club were remarkable. I left the Country Club with a great story, and pictures and was feeling enthusiastic about my blog. I truly was inspired to start golfing! Then, as I left the club and ventured back to my car I saw all the beautiful bikes parked on the strip and was inspired to start shooting pictures of the bikes with the back drop of the Scenic Railroad Station. I was thrilled at the pictures I was capturing of the gorgous Harleys with the railroad station and Moats in the background. How wonderful a blog on bike week. After all bikers have come to see and ride along the notches, Mountain and Lakes Regions for centuries from all over the country and this week is bike week! Perhaps I should put off a golf blog for next week. I could go to the Notches and wait at the scenic overlooks and take amazing pictures of the beautiful bikes as they pulled in to soak up the scenic views in the background. Perfect! So, I started shooting the bikes and mountains. I then had to walk by the Penguin to get back to my car so I went in as it is one of my favorite places and while there photographed their blown glass, in which I have been shooting framing and matting as gifts for a few years now. Recently I’ve actually sold a few of my blown glass inspired photos and told the staff at the Penguin as I showed them pictures I had taken on my camera. They were so enthusiastic they asked I bring some in to possibly sell. Wow, now I was being inspired to write about art interpreting art, photography and the artistic inspiration the valley is saturated with. After all there are so many talented artisans in North Conway. This made me start to think of the Valley’s Joelle Rober and her amazing talent and the beautiful painting she donated to the Starting Point fund raiser, Boots and Bling. I was given a generous gift to attend this fund raiser last week. How inspiring it was for me to be surrounded by the most giving and generous people the Mount Washington Valley has to offer! A true reflection of the people of The Mount Washington Valley. I realized a blog on their generosity and giving was also a subject I just had to write about. At the end of the day, I couldn’t narrow down a blog subject for the life of me. It then hit me and I realized that my blog subject had to be about Mount Washington Valley Inspiration. From kind and friendly golfers, to the beautiful scenic attractions, overlooks and rides that attract thousands, to artisans who inspire, and amazing generous people who give to others for the better of this community. This valley has something imbedded in it and that is inspiration!
I would like to thank all of the valley’s people who have inspired me this week and continuously. I feel inspired and blessed and I am grateful to live in a beautiful place surrounded by beautiful people who are kind, friendly and giving! They are the reason I love living here and what I call Mount Washington Valley Inspiration.
